Not Vaccinated in Oakville, Ontario? Forget Getting Married

THANK YOU FOR SHARING

With some of the strictest COVID-19 measures in Canada, the town of Oakville, Ontario, has decided not to issue marriage licenses to couples until they’re fully vaccinated against COVID.

On its website, the town acknowledges that they have exceeded their province’s recommendations “in an effort to provide added protection to our community and town staff from COVID-19.”

The town also requires proof of full vaccination for “use of recreation and culture facilities, including arenas, community centres, pools, senior centers, the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts, and Oakville Museum at Erchless Estate.”
